S44 & S66

The S44 unit is unlike most sheep units in Colorado. The southern portion contains pinyon juniper and oak brush then transitions into aspen and conifer sub alpine country to the north. Its deceivingly steep with sheep in any portion of the unit at any time of the year. It’s a tough hunt but holds some great rams. We spend extensive time in the unit year-round with several elk camps also scattered throughout the area.  

The S66 unit is your typical high alpine sheep hunt. High, steep mountains take a physically fit hunter to conquer this unit.  We like to utilize horses in accessing this unit taking some of the miles off your feet. Some good rams have been taken in this unit.

G17

Goat hunting in G17 is about as good as it gets in Colorado with regards to the hunt experience. There is some foot traffic but generally we can get away from the trails and hikers making for an enjoyable and rewarding adventure.

Our lodge is located at the base of the Main and South Forks of the Fryingpan Rivers. This affords us the ability to scout and keep tabs on the sheep and goats in the area.  We can shape these hunts to fit your needs. We can help with any needed gear (tents, sleeping pads, packs, etc). We have a suggested gear list for these hunts. Gives us a call for help in hunting these units.
